The table here is a summary of the detailed data of 1703 Spreadsheets, which also provides the background for Appendix 8 and Illustration 8. The primary source for the population and households is O'Callaghan as noted in Appendix 8. The 1703 Spreadsheets include a detailed transcription/database of O'Callaghan's list. The "Houses" estimate comes from the 1695 Spreadsheets. Note the "Houses" estimate for the South Ward has been adjusted to account for the households of 1703 that were assessed only as 'businesses' in the 1695 Tax List. (see Table 3A and 3B in Appendix 9)
